Door Speaker Upgrade Adaptor Kit for Subaru Forester SG (2003-2008)

This SG Forester Door Speaker Upgrade Adaptor Kit by D3D is a direct-fit replacement for the factory speaker units and allows you to use whichever universal fit speakers you prefer (6 1/2" front speakers, 5 1/4" rear speakers). Because the second generation Subaru Forester uses a proprietary door speaker design, the upgrade to aftermarket speakers is a headache if you don't have this kit.

Inexpensive and easy to install, this upgrade kit will save you a lot of time otherwise wasted cutting and fine-tuning universal speaker spacers to fit, or making a set of wooden adaptors from scratch the old school way. Each adaptor is 3D Printed in ABS in one piece for ease of installation, and lined with foam on both the door panel surface and speaker surface for optimal sound quality and vibration reduction.

Door Speaker Adaptor Kit levels:

• Front doors only (AU017-1)
• Rear doors only (AU017-2)
• Front and Rear doors (AU017-3)

Fitment specs:

• Front doors:
  • 6 1/2" speakers with outer mounting hole PCD = 154-160mm (suits speakers with open mounting tabs)
  • Exact mounting hole PCD = 158mm (check this if you are using speakers that don't have open mounting tabs)
  • Inner cutout diameter = 143mm

• Rear doors:
  • 5 1/4" speakers with outer mounting hole PCD = 134-140mm (suits speakers with open mounting tabs)
  • Exact mounting hole PCD = 138mm (check this if you are using speakers that don’t have open mounting tabs)
  • Inner cutout diameter = 117mm

These adaptors space the speakers away from the door approximately 5mm further than the factory speakers sit, to allow for larger aftermarket speaker drivers. However, they will still fit behind the doorcards without any modification.

This kit comes in various random colours depending on what material we have in stock - being a hidden component we make use of lower-demand colours to reduce the price. White colours are random, the individual adaptors will be the same colour as each other as we produce them in batches. However, we do have black available if needed.
